Hi all, my name is Phuoc Nguyen (Fook Win) and I will be joining CFC as a contributing writer for the 2024 season covering the OL Reign (soon to be Seattle Reign?)! Kickin’ It? What is that?

Kickin’ It is a feature that allows players to take a break from the usual soccer questions. The goal is for them to get to share their passions, hobbies, dreams, and so much more. This gives everyone a chance to get to know the person they are off the pitch.

NWSL hosted Media Day for the Championship. The press from all across the country gathered there and gave everyone a chance to ask questions to the finalists.

What is your dream vacation?

Quinn: Honestly, living in Seattle in the winter. It's like anywhere Sunny. Anywhere where you can see one ounce of sun. I really want to go to Japan right now. 

Alana Cook: That’s a good one. Thailand, maybe?

Veronica Latsko: Anywhere, honestly. I went to Peru last year, that's my dream. It's amazing. I love Peru. You’ve got the beaches, mountains, historical landmarks, it's incredible. The food's amazing. Peru.

Shae Holmes: It's such a toss up. I think in my bucket list, like honeymoon, maybe those like lists.  Bora Bora comes up like that's like a dream spot but when I'm thinking about culture and like I'm such a down to earth, kind of like outdoorsy, like that kind of vibe. I think like Thailand has always been like a really cool spot. Yeah, so I don't know. That's like, different vibes.

Sam Hiatt: I’ve always really wanted to go to the Philippines. Also, I’ve always wanted to go to Greece in the summer.

Claudia Dickey: Either Italy, or I’d want to go to South Africa, like a safari. I want to see all those animals.

Elyse Bennett: Bora Bora. I also want to go to Greece.

Alyssa Malonson: The Maldives or Greece. 

Bethany Balcer: I would love to explore Europe, like Italy or Greece. It's kind of basic right now. But I'd like to go over there.

Laurel Ivory:  I wouldn’t say this is a dream vacation. I mean, it kind of is, I've always wanted to do it. I really want to go to the Northern Lights.

Olvia Athens: I've always wanted to go to Croatia or Switzerland. 

Marley Canales: I love the beach. So definitely tropical and like I could probably say the Maldives. 

Nikki Stanton: Okay, I honestly know I want to go and I want to hike to Patagonia. And just like backpack and chill and see all those fun things.

Ryanne Brown: I personally really want to go to Greece. So [I] would love to get out there.
